WITHLACOOCHEE CHAPTER SAR HOSTS JROTC

The Withlacoochee Chapter of the sons of the American Revolution presented its Bronze JROTC Medal to an outstanding JROTC Cadet in each of the six High Schools in Citrus and Hernando Counties. The medal awards are awarded to the cadets that are nominated by their instructors and are presented at the respective high schools during their award ceremonies.
On May 10th the JROTC students who received the SAR Bronze Medal, their parents and instructors were honored by the Withlacoochee Chapter during its luncheon meeting at the Inverness Golf and Country Club.

The JROTC students who were awarded the SAR Bronze Medal were Amanda Fadden, Citrus High School; Ryan J. Nolan, Lecanto High School; Cody Posa, Crystal River High School; Michael Ogren, Central High School; Joshua Jones, Hernando High School; David Boylan, Springstead High School.
Accompanying the cadets were JROTC instructors SM/Sgt. David Wilson, Citrus High School; Col Michael Harmes, Lecanto High School; SM/Sgt Melvin Simmons, Springstead High School.
