The Withlacoochee Chapter Sons of the American Revolution and the Fort Cooper Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held a joint genealogy workshop October 23 in the Community Room of the Lakes Regional Library in Inverness. John Camillo,
Registrar of the Withlacoochee Chapter, informed the attendees about the history and programs of the chapter and the SAR, after which a DVD presentation of I'm Today's DAR explaining the history and programs of the DAR.
Sondra Shinn, Registrar of the Fort Cooper Chapter, presented information how to trace your lineage to a Revolutionary War Patriot and the documentation needed for proof. After the talks the SAR and DAR members worked with attendees interested in becoming members of the lineage societies.
