"PLAN AHEAD" 2008 MEETING DATES/COMING EVENTS

Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home June 25, 2008 Visit

The SAR Withlacoochee Chapter’s June visit to the Baldomero Lopez Veterans Nursing Home will be on June 25, 2008. This trip will be a Pizza Party for the Veterans and will include pizza, soft drinks and maybe non-alcoholic beer. The pizzas have been arranged, but not ordered yet. The soft drink purchases will be done prior to the visit.
The primary contact member for this trip will be Richard Sumner (352-754-8928 / RLS3874@aol.com).
As announced during our April meeting, any contributions of CD Music or Movies; Books or Books on tape; or VCR Movies can be brought to the May meeting for transport to the Veterans Home. If you have collected other items for the Veterans, please bring them to the May meeting for consolidation and packaging.
Members who wish to go to the Veterans Home should identify themselves at the May meeting so car pooling can be arranged. As stated, there will be no major hygiene, toiletries, or clothing purchases for this trip, but we will have our normal large contribution and trip scheduled in the November/December time.
I would like to thank everyone for their support to our program. It is only through your efforts and contribution that our Veterans Programs are such a success.
