On Sept 30 the WSAR Ladies Auxiliary met at Sandy Bockhorst's Playhouse in Inverness. The members present were Sandy Bockhorst, Maryann Teater, Armin Marvin, and Jean Nelson. Thank you, Sandy, for your hospitality.
The next meeting will be on November 4, again at Sandy Bockhorst's Playhouse in Inverness. It was suggested that the members attending this meeting bring their own sandwich. The meeting will be to 11:00 A.M.
Armin Marvin, our new Treasurer, reported our Checking Account Balance to be $603.64, as of 9/28.
It was unanimously voted to reimburse Sandy and Fairman Bockhorst $50 for the sewing material the Auxiliary will be using for the items they will make as "Soldiers Angels".
As reported last month, this was a "working" meeting. We made about 10 Sand Scarves and started 15 Cool Wraps for our Soldiers. Again, all our members are cordially urged to attend our next meeting on November 4 for good fellowship, lots of FUN, and to HELP with our project.
The members also voted to draw names to obtain the items needed for the boxes to be sent to our Soldiers.
Ideas were mulled over for some type of Fund Raiser. A Garage Sale was suggested. We need items to be donated to sell. If you have any Garage Sale items you wish to donate, please call Sandy Bockhorst at 746-9486 to arrange to have these items picked up.
A Certificate of Appreciation was received from the Daughters of the American Revolution for the Auxiliary's help during Constitution week.
Don't forget the Auxiliary will have a car in the Veteran's Day Parade on November 11; all are invited. The SAR will have a table at Crystal River Mall on November 7 for a celebration of our Veterans.
